Our Story
McLeod Cellars was built on one philosophy. That is, to make excellent wine from premium vineyards. The central coast of California is home to some of the best growing regions in the world. Working closely with vineyard owners and managers, we prioritize sustainable and regenerative grape growing. Paired with a hand's off and minimalistic winemaking practice, our wines are a true representation of the vineyard.
Meet the Winemaker
While discovering his love for wine in Italy during his time serving in the US Navy from 2008-2012, Thomas Cherry began his winemaking career in the Santa Ynez Valley in 2013. Graduating with an Enology degree from Cal Poly SLO, he moved to Paso Robles and started McLeod Cellars in 2022. With a passion for the rich diversity of growing regions up and down the central coast, he prides himself in making wines from these beautiful vineyards.
